Professional Background:
I'm Krista, a digital design enthusiast originally from Denver, Colorado, now calling Albuquerque, NM home since 2018. My journey started in high school at the Career Education Center's film and video program, sparking my passion for production and design technology. After exploring multimedia at Red Rock’s Community College from 1999-2004, I pursued a Bachelor of Science in Technical Communications from 2004-2006 at Metropolitan State University of Denver while freelancing in design and raising my son, Kailer.
My career began with crafting 200+ custom branded websites for a growing background check and drug screening company. I then expanded my expertise at a Denver branding agency, focusing on high-end real estate, automotive, military/defense, and law sectors. For the past 13 years, I've been the creative force behind web designs and marketing strategies at an electronics distribution, software, and tech company. I've helped design 20+ e-commerce websites and collaborated within the tech industry.
In 2018, I earned my MA in Instructional Design and Technology online from The University of New Mexico, broadening my skill set. I recently completed a Digital Marketing Bootcamp through Promineo Tech, fine-tuning my skills in branding, content creation, SEO, and paid advertising. Early 2024, I completed a Business Analytics certificate from Ziplines and continue to delve deeper into data's role in business analysis.
In August 2024, I began pursuing a Graduate Certificate in Technical and Professional Communication (GCERT in TPC) through the University of New Mexico's Department of English Language and Literature. This program requires a total of 15 credit hours, including two mandatory courses: Technical and Professional Communication, and Ethics in Technical and Professional Communication. I anticipate completing the program in the Fall of 2025.
I'm committed to continual learning and growth and I'm excited to collaborate with industry professionals and clients as I continue to evolve in this field.
